Celina Magda Donis is a Washington, D.C. based visual artist and photographer whose work is driven by a first-generation lens attuned to environmental and spatial memory. Born in Queens, New York, and shaped by living in Lawrence (MA), New Orleans, and a village in Kosovo, their practice merges street, environmental, and self portraiture to explore the quiet, nonverbal dialogue between people and the built environment.

Working across digital and 35mm film, Celina captures fleeting moments of solitude, connection and structural geometry. Their photography has been featured in group exhibitions, including ‘Whatever I Want’ at Eckington Hall, the DC Photographer showcase at Homme gallery, a solo installation for D.C.’s Art All Night. Their work is permanently displayed at the USCIS New Orleans Asylum office and Rail Records & Books shop at Union Station and they were named a contest winner by Mango Street Lab for their series on cultural superstitions.

Celina brings their photographs in the physical world through handcrafted goods, including custom printed/dyed tote bags, archival prints, and mini zines. When not behind the lens, they can be found cycling long distance city routes, making paper, and collaging.
